Hello everyone, I thought it was about time I got some book reviews on here, because my read pile keeps growing and growing as I’m finding some new and amazing books that I devour quicker than a chocolate cake….. which is certainly saying something. So over the next couple of days watch out for some of the books I’ve read and loved and hope that you all will too!

My Review – Rivers of London (A Rivers of London novel)
This was a book that I’d been tempted by for a long time before I decided to buy it, the cover kept drawing me in and I finally decided to give it a try, I’m leaning more towards supernatural thrillers at the moment so this sounded right up my street. It’s the first in a series of novels that follows Peter Grant on his journey into a magical world that he is suddenly thrust into. It all starts with a headless body and pretty much turns magical from that point. I think there’s a really good balance of magic and police work intertwined throughout the book. Once the story starts unravelling it follows a fairly gruesome and deadly path. Filled with ghosts, vampires and a particularly spooky housekeep that would rather hiss than speak and silently glides along corridors. I enjoyed the storyline, even if there was no magic involved would still have been something I could easily read. This book gives me a Harry Potter for an adult generation vibe, and I’m looking forward to reading more in the series and seeing where all the characters grow.
